Alexander Woodle

I have an academic background in Earth Sciences and Conservation and have worked for many years on the restoration of the Nashua River. First as a contract manager, I was responsible for allocating millions of dollars in Federal and State grant money used to build the infrastructure needed for the clean-up the river. Secondly, I participated in educating the communities within the Nashua River Watershed through public hearings outlining the steps needed to succeed and enlisting input from private citizens, public figures and commercial interests. As a private citizen I have worked in various capacities with the Town of Groton on water quality management issues in general and the many iterations of the Groton Lakes Association since the 1970s.

GROTON LAKES ASSOCIATION

The Groton Lakes Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the Lakes of eastern Groton; primarily "Lost Lake," "Knop's Pond," "Baddacook Pond" and their coves.

Located in Groton, Massachusetts, the G.L.A. works closely with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as other community organizations to develop and implement programs, strategies, and ideas which will preserve the lakes for both native wildlife and recreational use, thereby enhancing the quality of life in our local watershed.
